Rock Identification Project
What's in a Name

We were divided into groups. We were given rocks to do experiments. We were to classify the rocks in either igneous, metamorphic or sedimentary. Some rocks were in layers. We classified according to luster, texture, streak, layering, hardness and color. |

We were given small vials of vinegar to text the rocks to see how they reacted to acid. |
|
This rock had some reaction to the acid. This rock's luster was sparkly. |
|
As we did each procedure we would list the outcome. |
