Red Spruce 
Picea rubens

The Red Spruce often grown along the edge of streams and bogs, where it can reach sizes of 20 meters.  This tree is about 6 meters tall. 
Bark is dark gray to brown, inner bark reddish brown.
Needles are similar to those of the Black Spruce but are .5 to 0.7 of an inch long.  New growth twigs have only a few short, brown hairs.
