Parent Involvement Policy for Egyptian School

No Child Left Behind Act of 2007

Public Law 107-110 

Section 1118:  Parental Involvement:  A local educational agency will implement programs, activities, and procedures for the involvement of parents in programs.  Such programs, activities, and procedures shall be planned and implemented with meaningful consultation with parents of participating children. 

The Egyptian Board of Education confirms the rights of parents and teachers to jointly address the needs of students receiving funding by Title I as adopted by the guidelines of “No Child Left Behind”.  Egyptian recognizes the importance of the parent’s role in providing their student with a quality education.  In order for the relationship between parents, teachers and administrators to be effective, all parents shall be notified of meetings that will provide parents and teachers the opportunity to have input into the design and implementation of the Title I goals. 

Parents Right-To-Know:

Parents, guardians of students at Egyptian school have the right to request their student’s classroom teachers’ professional qualifications, and whenever their child is assigned to or has been taught for 4 or more consecutive weeks by, a teacher who is not highly qualified.
